Let me know how that full girdle set works. Who's are you looking at? None of them seem super interesting to me. If you end up not overly excited I might just do engineerding things and design/build my own.

I have a 425 crank and a line on a DX block that needs to hold up to 20ish PSI for my next build so I am keeping a spreadsheet of things to hunt down 🙂

Someone made 4 bolt main caps but I cant find who that was at this time.


BTR makes the 4 bolt main caps

Just get a good balance on it, use the lightest rods and pistons you can afford, put some compression in it, a proper cam, and send it. Oldsmobile engines are subject to too much myth; it'll be fine.

Including the 455. Build one and quit messing around. 👍

Rods will be stock and it will definitely be balanced

Compression will be either 9 or 9.5 depending on the gasket with the new pistons

And using that eldelbrock cam part number 3712

Stay around 9 to 1 with that 204/214 cam. What pistons are you planning on? Honestly your current pistons would work with some head milling.

Yes different flexplate and a different balancer for the 330
