Now that some time has went by I'll say it once b/c it needed to be said. If they found out you were also drinking don't confirm or deny it, but if you protest in any way it will look bad to the judge. They really hate it when someone is not taking any responsibility for their actions. You may not technically be at fault but if you outright 'object' to anything you would look like a hypocrite basically - if they do know. Best to exercise restraint and say nothing. You don't want to end up having to attend some expensive classes b/c of an outburst objecting in court, so don't say anything even if they insult you or find out you had drinks that night too. If you object in any way, the judge might look at it like your not taking any responsibility for what happened. Doesn't matter whether it's true or not. I'm not anybody's Dad on here, but now that some time has passed for the anger factor to drop down from clouding judgement, I would hope your judgement would allow you to admit some self acknowledgement of responsibility for what happened anyway. I was pretty mad the time I bought a blazer for $700 after having too many drinks at a bar, came down opened the garage door and the garage door was open w/ the wind blowing, nothing there. They followed me home and drove right back off in the blazer, and I never had signed a title. My own fault, is how I looked at that one. Take some responsibility for your actions, if you weren't drunk you wouldn't have pulled over in the middle of that country road. You got too comfortable in your neighborhood, as I can easily recognize having occasionally been guilty of the same. Just don't forget standing in front of the judge, he doesn't live in your neighborhood and won't care if this happened there any different than a brightly lit urban metro area; any objection if they mention the fact that you were also drinking would be looked down upon as a failure to take responsibility. This was a concept I didn't understand that took me some fk ups to grasp, but it was something my lawyer taught me.
I don't think you read the op's posts.....
