I can't even think of anything that I use almost daily that has broken except these American-Assembled vehicles. The unlimited warranty on some of these cars (36k miles) is a joke after shelling out tens of thousands of dollars.

The things that I use daily: laptop(s), microwaves, tv's, etc... have worked fine for years. My bed frame (which was around $200 on amazon) is the only thing I've bought inthe last 5 years that I feel like I need to replace. Perhaps I just need to re-torque the bolts.

Or learn to make softer sweeter love in it.

Our box frame is made of cinder blocks and rebar. 😉

You used to go to the supermarket and test the tubes on the machine there, When I was a kid.

Yup... but now kids are born in test tubes and .... we find this fallopian tube tester in the supermarket.

There's a outfit called kansas city tools that sells german made driver bits...not cheap, but way better than china or taiwan...my usual tool store now is flea market or garage sale...snap on, older craftsman, mac, proto is cheaper used there than harbor frieght cast tools with no alloy in them...the bro in law of a guy in the local car club was sent by the feds to set up factories in china when we gave them our jobs...only thing he said was they would not use nickle in their steel no matter what...too expensive...

My personal research on items I've bought in the last seven years indicates that products from china, across the board, from tools to appliances and small electronics, have a failure rate between 30 and 38%... averaging around 36%...and appliances are all junk, good for seven years tops...even the $5000 ones...and mattresses are the new scam product with prices all over the board for similar product, and don't even say guarantee...most aren't worth the card theyre printed on.

remember when GM made cars that barely made it to 100k miles before they either exploded or rusted out? The only reason TV and radio repairmen (and appliance repairmen) stayed in business, was because they had business. Nothing was ever good.

Rust was not a widespread problem for cars until they began salting roads and highways in the 50s.
