Rear end G body compatible?

If an 8.5 is out of a grand national or t-type it should be 3.42. If its out of a hurst/olds or 442 it will be 3.73.

The 12 bolt will have 4- 3.212 gear chambers which will increase force power X2. Been running the 12 in my race car for 4 years now. Best rear ever produced!! Mine cost me $5K. though. good luck finding one cheaper. Really does make a car go much smoother and gets incredible gas mileage. 😀

Funny that mine rear end is not well known. They made them back in the 1980's for Nasacr and when they were first made guys like Dale Earnhert used to autograph them and auction them off. I bought mine from an auction and use it in all my racing. They make the car go fast!!

I'm new here and saw this post. I found a rear end out of a 78 buick lesabre that has rear disc brakes and sway bar. The guy said he was gonna put it in his 86 monte but decided to to something different. Will that rear end fit my 84 cutlass supreme? The guy says it will but I'm not sure. Also my rear now is a 7.5 and he thnks his is a 8.5 10 bolt. Any help would be appreciated

It should be the same as any other B-body. Definitely not a bolt in. There are better options out there.
