the rear view mirror keep falling off the metal peice should I just buy and new mirror? Does anybody have the same problem

I think it's a hot climate issue. One of my cars I have to re-glue the mirror at least once a year.
I find if the car sits out in the sun, the mirror bond is going to fail eventually.

Mine fell off I took it to a shop that repairs windshields and what not they charged me like 5 bucks to put it back on

Something you've got going on is helping the screw loosen up if that keeps happening.

Worst case scenario is:

1) get the mirror seated on the metal pad

2) ink the screw tip

3) install screw tight

4) remove screw/mirror

5) gently, CAREFULLY, use a bit for drilling metal to make a shallow indent into the metal plate in just under the screw diameter

6) install mirror/screw with something for the screw to bite into and hold on the metal plate end.
