Removing the rearview mirror mount from the windshield

Yeah....glass doesnt like heat applied to it in one spot for two long....has a tendency crack in the right conditions. I say use a good strong scraper thats thin and sharp enough to get in between the glass and the button.

Keeping it wet with acetone and working around it with a razor, then a final tap with a chisel and hammer worked for me!

Good point they seem to just fall off here all the time.
All the parts stores have the loctite glue kits right at the cash register. :wink:

when I worked on aircraft in Mojave Desert we would get a written warning if we did not have gloves on for protection cause the skin of the aircraft would burn your hands..that sun made everything real hot in the summer and it would be the same for you..
