There is one bolt that is the odd one. Not the group of 4 and not the longer studs with nut on them. I put it on the PS pump side.

You'll have to pull the thermostat housing off to get that piece of hose on there. Easier than pulling the water pump again. While you're in there, get a new thermostat housing gasket, test a new 180 or 195 thermostat, and put it in. I believe 1 if not both t-stat housing bolts go through to the water channel if memory serves, and you'll need to put non-hardening permatex sealer on the end of those threads.

That red circled bolt you have in the picture. I think you need to change it out with the studded one directly below it. measure the space on the PS bracket holes and you'll see why.

You the man. Thanks for all the help. Have both the new fuel pump and water pump bolted up. One last thing. I just inserted the fuel pump arm. Then tightened the two bolts. Is that all you do?

Did you make sure to land the pump arm on TOP of the actuator cam that bolts to the front of the camshaft? It's hard to mess that up I imagine, but you need to make sure you don't screw that up. I'd have a hard time thinking it would bolt up flush otherwise, but I've never actually installed one wrong. If the arm is sitting on top of the actuating cam, you're golden there.

Here's a rando pic for visual.

I just stuck it in. I believe it’s on there. Anyway to double check before putting it back together.

Quick question Sldwys: what fuel pump are you using? There is a thread about the psi these replacement pumps are putting out and now I'm scared to put my new Delphi pump in😳

I ordered from GM parts giant. 6472172 is the part number. For some reason it’s showing discontinued now on their site.
