The urethane seems to be available at every auto parts store I've been to lately, 3M part#8609 (printed on label as"08609"). It's a white caulk style tube with red and black letters. There are other brands all over the place, but the 3M stuff is the only brand I've ever seen glass companies use and it's the most readily available. You can use a regular caulk gun, but once you've used a professional battery operated gun, you'll never want to use anything else (especially if you actually end up doing something large like a windshield).
Same goes for the ribbon sealer in butyl, the 2 main sizes are 3/8" and 5/16". Thinner ribbon is available, but is harder to come by, as I think 5/16" would still be too thick for 1/4 glass. But what you generally do is just stretch the stuff to accommodate smaller openings.
