Hahaha. I see what you did there.it was just a simple question....
I have a new pair of tie rod adjusters in the box, but i need to find them. I bought them for my GN, and then decided to upgrade to the billet aluminum adjusters. I will wait for a deal on the center link, since I got a little time ( it wasn't on the close out list ). I always remove the old stuff as a complete setup, and build the new stuff to match as close as possible. That will help get it to the alignment shop.Did you get new tie rod sleeves and center link? That would only be about < 20 bucks more to complete the entire steering linkage. Build it outside the car, and bolt it up when you change it out with just a few bolts/nuts. Easy peasy.
I remember when you could get a lot of genuine GM parts for dirt when they would have those closeouts. Oil caps, V8 spark plug wire sets, VIN 9 EGR solenoids, cruise control actuator units, a/c cutout switches, etc. Got all sorts of Delco brake drum hardware and front/rear wheel bearings. They still have some Delco stuff, but it's the newer 889xxxx numbers. Where quality could vary greatly.
Yeah, but if you bought say, a fuel filter for 7 bucks, and 3 or 4 other items and they charged you 7 for shipping, it's not so bad when it's spread out. Like dollar cost averaging, this is shipping cost averaging. Gotta do the math to see if it's a good deal or not. And don't forget the sales taxes, as applicable!
And kids always say they'll never need math in school....
Still need to do the math. But yeah, if they're in different warehouses, you could be f**d on shipping charges. Just glad they don't have 5 different warehouses!!!Not when they are in different warehouses
But they do! Lots. You need to put in your most important part then when looking for other stuff look for the little truck icon indicating it comes from the same place as the important part in your cart. It can be irritating but you save a lot on shipping.Just glad they don't have 5 different warehouses!!!
The parts I bought so cheap were from-Some things seem to be a great price but the quality of the brand just isnt there.
$7 buxx plus shipping for an idler arm made by MEVOTECH (SUPER JUNK) is no bargain when their life expectancy is less than a year
Lots of wheel cylinder repair kits and stuff no one will ever use.
Went to buy a fuel filter 6.99 great price then 7.99 shipping
Not a great price anymore.
On the other hand I did buy some "Should be" Made in USA front end parts for a decent price
Like everything out there you have to know your pricing combined with the quality of the part
paying 5 buxx for sh*t instead of 15, well its still sh*t so.......
