maybe that was the intent but I think that backfired, I never heard of Ron's Classic Cutlass before this and if I was looking for parts this thread would not deter me from contacting him.
Or, maybe the OP is Ron Memmer, and it's advertising. Things that make you go "hmmm".....
Ahahaha. Good old Ron...I tried to deal with him several times back in the Hemming's motor news days (before interwebz), and once he smoked me on some 69 H/O parts (he didn't technically rip me off per se, but he wanted a lot of $$ for some H/O specific stuff. When I said I'd pay what he was asking, he all of a sudden quit taking my phone calls, and evaded me like a mother...then he told me he was going to keep the parts for a car he was working on. Oh, but the very next month, what do I see in Hemming's??? Those SAME parts for sale for more than I was willing to pay. I have to give it to him, he does come up with some pretty cool and rare parts sometimes. And they can be yours IF you're willing to pay dearly for them.
Luckily for me in that same Hemming's, I found a 69 H/O being parted out by the original owner. Got the complete engine/trans combo from him with air cleaner, intake, heads and distributor, spare set of mirrors, a 71-72 W-25 hood, and an original version of the 68 H/O dealer pamphlet that had extra pages in it. And all of that for around $500 less than what Ron was asking for the parts I wanted from him. Thanks Ron! Maybe it was just meant to be.
