I had a similar experience (attempt.) Someone told me to contact someone for a part I was looking for. I asked the person recommending to give me the username on this forum for the source. No reply.

I went along as I think this does a lot for this sight. I’ve lost more at McDonald’s
So I took the plunge. Sure enough. They did it!!

I just had a newbie with zero posts answer my want add on here for the 83 grill last week. Told me to email another person because he has a nice set of grills. I nev had this happen to me before and thought it was strange. I got to thinking about it and then I threw him to the WOLF. (GP403). 😁

I had the same issue,i posted a wanted ad for a set of way out of production wilwood rotors and a newb with zero posts/everything emailed me saying he got a set etc etc here's my email-zero avail.

I had also been recently approached by some scammer indicating that he knew of someone that has the part I'm looking for with an e-mail address to contact. I've encountered similar situations with these clowns before, also when looking for parts. I just tell them to go F**k off and leave me alone.
So as a warning to other members, be wary of first time posters that usually can't even describe the part that they're hawking..

I can’t wait. There has to or a page dedicated to the scammer. It sucks because we have a pretty awesome community here. Cementing the fact there is always that assh@&! Dez

Good ol' Jim. I had a bad experience regarding a heater box but we finally worked through it. We won't be doing each other any more favors though. He's a pretty consistent source.
