1976 400 SBC .030 forged TRW pistons balanced rotating assembly 5.65" stock rods stock crank Dart S/R Torquer 2.02/1.90 heads (done 1992) hairline crack in #1 cylinder at 87K sleeved decked and honed (redone 2013) now has a Lunati Voodoo .486/.509 cam. Haven't fired it yet...we'll see whether it goes or blows. My 5-year-old installed the timing cover bolts. Priceless.

There is nothing better than when your kids want to help. I had to change a tire on my malibu, my 3 n a 1/2yr old daughter helped pump the jack, and after i cracked the lugnuts loose she spun the 4-way and took the lugs off, and rolled the new tire to me, i stuck it up and started the lugs and she spun them on, i tightened em, and she lowered the jack.... then she stood on the jack while i pumped it all the way up, and then back down... EVERYTIME i am outside working on my car, she always asks if she can ride on the jack... i will say this, she is ALOT more help now then when she first attempted to help me by picking up a screw driver and "fixing" my door with it... that dang scratch stares at me everytime i go to get into my car... i thought she wouldnt want to go in the car cause she hates loud noises, anytime the dog barks, or i am gringing metal, or w/e, she says "stop making that noise, too loud". but her first time in the car, i did a couple 5 n a half grand hits, and SHE LOVED IT... the whole time sitting in the backseat saying "vrooom vrooom, turn the wheel dada turn the wheel" CANT WAIT TO REBUILD MY MONTE WHEN SHE GETS A LITTLE OLDER....

my first engine... 350 SBC... waiting for it to go BOOM... never built one before, and i kinda just slapped this one together... picked up everything brand new except the block n intake, the guy i bought it from had already assembled it, but never fired it... made me nervous relying on the work of someone that i didnt know, SO i tore her down, ordered all new seals, rings, bearings, etc, and RE-assembled it myself... cloyes double roller timing chain set, eagle rotating assembly, lt4 hot cam (wish i went with a diff cam), trick flow hyd roller lifters, edelbrock e-tec200 heads, magnum pushrods, LS6 valve springs, 1.6 roller rockers, flat top pistons, performer rpm intake

My 81 GP, just a 305 but always makes everyone scratch their heads and say ''what the F##K'' everytime I open the hood.

thats awesome! What kind of carb setup/aircleaner is that?

It's not carbed, its Crossfire fuel injection straight from a 1982 Camaro Z-28. 😀

I think you should build up the engine then modify the intake to fit dual Holley 4 barrels.
