Roger,
I do have a posi, that's one of my concerns about using a donut spare...and also to be able to fit the tire well, which might be a problem. Time to take a measurement.
What size tires are you running in the rear? You can look it up on tirerack what the diameter is.

Roger,
I'm running 235/60 x 15 all around. The diameter is approx. 26.2"

You might be able to consider the wheel/tire I ended up going with. I got them both new for less than $150 delivered. Tire from Amazon and wheel from Summit.
The 215/60R-17 has a section width of 8.7". What size tire was the stock spare or what size did you have in that tire well last?

Btw, what is the width of that tire well?
I took a quick measurement of the well. It's approx. 7" deep and about a hair over 26" length.
I'm thinking possibly a 15 x 6 rim....tire size would take a little calculating.... shouldn't be too difficult to figure out. I figured there wouldn't be any issues regarding brake clearance and B.S. being standard would not require the use of a spacer.

The tire that's currently used for a spare is one of the old 195/75 x 14's...which was the standard size on these cars new. If i can fit a slightly taller tire in the well, that would be great.
Thank you for your suggestions.

A 195/75R-14 has a section width of 7.7" and a diameter of 25.5". So if you've got room in the tire well for 1" more on width and about 1/2" more height, I think the setup I have would be a good one. The 215/60R-17 has a section width of 8.7" and a diameter of 26.1".

Thanks for for the information on the size spare that you're using.... and the links to Summit and Amazon. I appreciate it.
