I started the day with a breakdown this morning just an uncooperative alternator belt. No big deal but pressed for time I just took the wife's Subaru to my brother's house. My neighbor Steve recovered a seat for one of his cars and I took it down to him. I thought it was strange that he needed me to bring it to him but it ended up being a very cool morning. As some of you know I come from an Oldsmofamily that started with my uncle bob. Also some of you know my brother bought the car from him that started it all. Well this morning I got to flog that b*tch! OMG I can't stop smiling it drives like a brand new car! What's not original is date code and part number correct except the m-20 and 3;23s but dam that 400 with D heads RUNS! I can't wait to see Uncle Bob's face when he sees his old dark green 69 W-30 4 speed holiday Coupe for the first time again. It's not flawless like Tony's blue W-30 convertible and will never be Concourse like it either. But oh so nice! Powder coated frame red fenderwells bronz engine SEXY! But sorry no pictures until the unveiling as per big brother's request.

Ok sorry for that ramble but I had to tell someone lol almost don't want to get back to my POS truck lol I would have spent the day at Tony's but I had to pick up Lexi from work and get some work done on the truck.
As far as the truck goes I wired up the plow lights I've got high beams low beams parking lights and blinkers. Don't think I ever had a plow with all that. However the unimount plug is shot so I'll be needing to buy a harness repair kit. It drove me nuts trying to wire the lights because it keeps loosing connection but I got it working. As far as the alternator belt I think I'm going to need a shorter one eventually. I fixed a couple more broken ground wires under the hood to but still just have a dim right headlight and the high beam low beam switch is acting up. Sometimes when I hit it the lights just go out. So that brings me to this I am definitely taking my Mac dealer up on his offer. I hate chasing wiring issues. So that's it till next time it's time for some family time

The G block 400 is horribly undersquare, 4.25" stroke and a tiny 3.875" bore. They have the dog reputation because of the tiny bore. The early 400 was slightly over square and has a much better reputation as a performance motor. A fast car is awesome to push through the gears.

Nothing got done. Nothing! I couldn't get hold of my Mac dealer I was stressed out from other crap and cleaned up leaves in my yard. Happy friggin birthday to me! So I guess I won't get any help with the wiring and I ordered an old hard cover Chilton off eBay for the schematics and I'll butcher it in the 30° rain next weekend. No it's not a long weekend for me because I work for *ssh*les. I can't wait to quit that job
