Yeah headers and the 4wd just mean one more thing in the way. One guy would not even attempt to bend the down pipes on my Olds powered Z71. The other guy did and swore doing it. Those headers probably were made to fit the truck but most of these trucks back then were 2wd. My In laws 85 GMC 4 door long box 3/4 ton was. No days, good luck finding a RWD truck.
A set of upright headers will solve all your clearance problems.

I woke up this morning sick as a dog. First I sent a group text to everyone at the shop that I'd be late. A few minutes ago I sent another that I'm not coming. Now I'm waiting for my stomach to subside so I can go get some Pepto and head to the building to finish my junk! I'm pretty sure my stomach is at least in part stress related. So working on my junk is for medicinal purposes!
