So in ripping into it I found the dip stick was wrong and then that the oil pan was wrong so I started looking at #s the heads are Mexico crate motor and look brand new the bottom end is 1980 L82 350 4 bolt main so I got a pan and dip stick tube for a Corvette and they fit so I stayed with the Corvette theme under the hood for now with 84 valve covers performer intake and a 70 Z/28 air cleaner and got all correct brake lines from inline tube. I bought flo- tech headers and exaust...never again...but managed to get them on

So with all the parts I needed to get it corrected I pulled my old rotted dump truck out of the weeds and started chopping it for parts

this is after I cut the dump bed off

the truck was so rotted it broke in half the drivers door won't close but it still had a 4x4 tunnel in it and even if it was all rotted it showed me what I was missing

Had a few squarebodies myself. Like the camper special emblems. I put a set on one of the trucks I had. 1/2T truck with 10k emblems got a few looks!

Nothing like a good old rusty squarebody. I have an 80 1/2 ton me and my boy are screwing together. The 80 cab was past it, found a free 83 cab on Craigslist (came with new cab corners!) I added rockers and jammed it. I would like to find a clean crew cab like yours, I have a 12 valve Cummins that wants to be inserted into it.

You always need a truck. I prefer the 88-98 trucks myself. I find the 73-87 have weak frames.
