I'd be hesitant to install a no name flat tappet cam. I think you'd be asking for more of what you already have. Go with the Edelbrock for a few dollars more.

Rotella 15-40!!

I thought I had read they substantially lowered the amount of Zinc in Rotella in the past few years?

Bobistheoilguy has lots of zddp testing results for different brands and weights of oil. Usually includes testing data for after use as well.

For what it's worth, even the diesel oils aren't what they once we're for zinc content.

Soon I'm gonna shell out the $30 or so for a handfull of the prepaid analysis test kits to mail some of my used on samples in, kind of see what's going on with the truck here such as it is. Maybe the mustang too. We'll see.

I had been using delo 400le 15w-40

Try some Valvoline VR1, it still has zinc. Valvoline claims current oils are OK for older motors but does reference VR1 oils as a choice for older motors.
