Pontiacgp, I just did a quick search on that site and probably just posted the wrong kit. The one I got came with the taller lower ball joints. I got it years ago. It's possible the exact kit I got is different now.

Dixon_ronald, the ride is very nice with the Bilstein shocks. The ride is not bouncy, jerky, stiff or any other bad word you can think of. It has a firm 'performance' feel to it and feels good when driving on rough/bumpy roads.

That makes sense. Did you get spindles with the kit or did the tall lowers fit the stock spindle. I had to open and taper the hole for the lower on my F body spindles. The taper reamer is $80 but I was lucky we had one we used in the race shop.

If you use a tall lower it drops the ride height . I have a tall lower ball joint that drops mine 1/2"

"For cars that include a tall lower ball joint it further improves the camber curves and roll center height for even better handling. It also lowers the car .5”-.75” and moves the spindle and steering arm to a more favorable height"

Does this work with stock lower a-arms & spindles? If so, do you have a part number or source?

i got moog 5658 and this weekend am putting in moog 5409 in the rear and nobody seems to have pics of this setup to spite it seemingly being a popular (maybe not i guess) and inexpensive way of getting our gbodies to sit about an inch lower. ill have some pics up this weekend with some ground to wheel well measurements

The kit didn't come with spindles, so I can only assume they fit in the stock spindles OK. My friend who owed me a favor actually installed it all for me, so I don't know much of the specifics on how it all went together. I know that if you email or call Marcus at SC&C, he'll give you all the info you need. Other than replacing stock suspension parts, I'm not really up on alot of detail on suspension/chassis design and modifications. I do know that since my car is lowered a bit, it could benefit from some relocation brackets in the rear! That'll be next on the list...

Here's mine. At the time I had 205/50 Goodrichs in front, I lowered the car by 2 inches with Hotchkiss springs. The problem I had with the front-lowered setup was the braking balance. I was able to get a better result with a tedious tuning of the brake setup (prop-valve & doual-diaphragm-booster), but still worse than before the lowering. The answer to this problem was given by a tech-guy of Summit Racing: due to the lowered front, there is more weight pushing on the front wheels, so the front brakes have to work harder while the rear brakes are less effective. (Even though I have excellent aftermarket disk brakes on all 4 wheels)

Well, I changed it back to stock ride height and got my a pair of larger front tires to optically fill out the wheel case and I got the perfect brake power back ^^

ok got my new rear springs installed oday, didnt check the tire pressure but eye balling it looked fine. 235 60 15 tires with moog 5658 up front and moog 5409 out back. try not to mind the general dirtiness, my car cover needs a wash.

measurements are
26.5 inches up front ground to fender
27.25 inches up rear ground to quarter

if someone with a stock car with springs in good condition could post their measurements it'd be appreciated to see how much exactly it dropped me

nobody has stock ground to fender lip height numbers?

here is my regal, 275 60 15 rears and 215 65 15 fronts, just installed new front springs and bushings, rears are cut coils from a caprice classic. kinda crappy cell pic, and could use a wash lol

How does it ride compared to the stock springs?
