Starter problem

the ground wire seems to be attached to the wrong side of the engine, it should be attached to the driver side head
 
It reached. He's already got it connected. Take a look at the pic above.
 
if the block is grounded good and there is 12 volts to the starter and there is power on the S wire when you turn the key to start the engine should turn over.

Ok on my car the negative battery post has a big wire going to the alternator bracket and a small one to the body is that right? Or should it be different
