I did some wiring and went to tighten one of the battery wires to the solenoid and this happened
The solenoid broke in half so now I gotta wait and get another one....

:lol: I was using only a socket in hand on it. No ratchet! I couldnt believe it broke that easy. I will get one tomarow from Napa and retry. I still have to make the jumper wire for the S to B terminal.pontiacgp said:you're not supposed to use a 1/2" impact wrench on that....![]()
I would but I bought it from Summit many months ago and dont have the receipt anymore. I still have the original box with the wiring so I might try it next time I go there. It was around $21 for the whole deal but im getting a new one from Napa for $16 today.pontiacgp said:I hope you're bringing the defective one back. I just did that and she works. I had a buddy that doesnt know much about cars hold the ground wire and the starter as I touched the power to it. He sh*t bricks!!!!!pontiacgp said:That will work... 🙂
If you want to test it ground the starter housing and put 12 volts to the large battery cable terminal....
