Ok I got ya. I don't see a blue wire. All of the wires that go to the starter are red. They must have put the terminal on the opposite side for block clearance maybe? What gauge wire would be best to run from the S terminal on the starter to the S terminal on the remote solenoid?pontiacgp said:there is no R terminal, there is an S and and an I. The I was used for the coil on older cars and is not used anymore. If you only have one terminal it would be the S. You can test it with a multimeter. Take an ohm meter and connect one lead to one of the small post and touch the lead to the mounting bracket. If it reads Zero ( or near 0) then you have the "S" terminal which should be hooked up to the Blue wire from the ignition switch.
If it read infinity or (>10 meg) then you have the "I" terminal which is hooked up to the (+) on the ignition coil.
Duh! I have thay photo saved on my laptop and didnt even think to look at it lol. So all I gotta do is run a jumper from the big B terminal to the male spade terminal and I should be good? I have a jumper bar but it wont work since I have a spade and not a regular S terminal but I can rig it up. Thanks for the info againpontiacgp said:when running remote solenoid you wire the S terminal on the starter solenoid to the post for the battery cable on the starter solenoid. The wire from the ignition that connects to the S terminal is connected to the S terminal of the remote solenoid.
So your saying run the jumper wire at the remote solenoid instead of at the starter?pontiacgp said:just connect the s terminal to the terminal for the battery wire coming from the remote solenoid. I like that set up cause you only have one wire going to the starter from the remote solenoid and it's dead until you turn the key making it easier to install
