im going to the yard on saturday ill look for a manual g body

Good luck finding one. They go hand in hand with the quest of finding hen's teeth. :lol:
You'll be lucky finding one in a junkyard these days. Most likely Fleabay, or someone breaking up an accumulation of standard shift parts.

Your chances would be better finding a '79-'80 G-body for a column for your car, than it would be to find a standard shift column.

Hey, With the Wiper switch on the dash you can use a steering column from any 79-87 G body. Replace the wiper/blinker lever with the one of your original column. My 81 Malibu has a tilt column from a 86 Bonneville and my 78 El camino has a column and intermediate shaft from a 83 Monte Carlo.

I bought a Jeep shaft for my '86 442 and it won't clear the headers. I plan on going aftermarket, Detroit Speed possibly, for my intermediate shaft.
