Just got my new AC Delco center link . It measures the same as what's currently in there so I'm not going to even bother changing it out. Guess I'm going to order a different pitman arm and see how that works. Grrrrrr.
Yes you can south west speed makes them I bought one for my frame off I did on my CutlassBut you can't just order pitman arms. They aren't a wear item so they don't make them anymore.... ugh. When I bought the steering box I couldn't get the center link off the pitman arm in the junk yard so instead I removed the pitman arm from the box. Then realized the arms were different from the old round top boxes to the square tops. Only place I could find a pitman arm was speedway motors and they are cleaned up used units. They only offer a single choice for g-bodies....
I can't decide which I like better: the immaculate chassis, or the immaculate shop floor!
What is the source for your steering box?

I guess I'm dumb, or ignorant or both. I don't see anything obviously wrong in your picture. So I'm in the middle of a frame off and someone noticed my center link isn't perpendicular to the frame and it's supposed to be. The problem is that every single part has been replaced so where do I start? It seems like the pitman arm is too long but from the measurements I can find online, the center to center distance should be 6.5" and it is. That really only leaves the center link which I ordered for a g body... I'm stumped. Anyone have any great ideas?
