I'm in the middle of a turbo lq4 t56 swap in my 84 GN. Curious what clutchs people are running with higher hp LS swaps. From my research the famous LS7 clutch is good to around 500rwhp. I'm planning on running 600 to 700 whp with my setup and mostly will be a street car with a little drag racing. Any options or recommendations?

LS7 Clutch is good for 500 Crank HP in a 3200lb at most car. My cammed 6.0l in my SS on street tires murdered one at the track.

Monster Stage 3 is what I have now and if I was in your place I'd try that.

Single disc, pretty much on/off. It grabs, no slip. Firm pedal so the Pressure Plate is strong.

I think he's burnishing his right now at drag week. I'm sure he'll respond when he has a moment.
He has an LT1 T56 so it's not apples to apples but he is running blown LS.

I thought we were looking for opinions on LS clutches.
And yes your right, he's not running an LT1 clutch on his LS flywheel.
