Tailgate Cables

Thank you, Mike.
I thought we had something there for a moment...we still might.
They look like nicely made cables, but actually are a little longer than the wagon cables.
I'm sure they would probably work fine using a stock bumper with fillers intact. The other question would be, are the dimensions of the eyes compatible with the wagon.
I suppose if the local parts store had them on the rack, we could bring our trusty caliper with us to take a measurement.

I am not really sure what 11/12ths of an inch looks like? But it cannot be that far off - under specs dorman claims 14.75"; so the question is that C to C, or total length?

As for the eyes... unsure. Drill them out?

Yeah, you got a point there. I also never heard of 11/12" ever being used. I think 14,75" is total length.

I suppose that could be done, providing that the holes aren't larger than what's needed.

Thanks, Jack i did see that but wasnt sure, sent off a message to him
also, Curious why you need to shorten your cables?
I'm glad you were able to get a message off to Bob.
As for my cable dilemma...let me explain. I narrowed and tucked in my bumpers. The rear bumper was pushed upward to close up the gaps... and I also eliminated the fillers. So therefore, the tailgate just about hits the top of the bumper. I'll have to show you a pic from my thread
