BUILD THREAD “The Juggernaut”

You know, you could have used a McRib box top as a template for that last piece. Would have saved you some time. 🙂 I got the specs from Ronald.

That's some fantastic work. You should work for a puzzle company. In fact, when you're done, you can get a Juggy puzzle. Just take a picture of it and they'll make you a puzzle. Kind of fitting, after looking at your floorboards.

D your brain works like a engineer who actually work on cars.
There’s probably a very good reason for that, and that would be because I actually do.
Lol
Not just cars, but on equipment for work. I’ve actually had this conversation several times in the past couple days, about how much I hate engineers.

Just because something works on paper or in their AutoCAD program, doesn’t always mean it’ll work in real life. Especially from a serviceability point of view. I’m of the firm belief that young engineers should have to spend a minimum of 2 years working out in the field, and preferably on their own sh*t. I can guarantee you that things would be designed differently and a lot more user friendly.

As we like to say in the millwright trade, engineers should just stick to driving trains.
😏

The takeaway from that is that I can usually reverse engineer something or design it better from the get-go that what was originally provided.

Thanks for the compliment!

^^^^This^^^^
And I'm an engineer (albeit, electrical).
I have the same thing happen with young guys (and sometimes older) when they say, "but-but-but the simulation says it should work!" Yeah. Uh huh. You forgot something or assumed something in the simulation that was not accounted for compared to what happens in the real world. Sit down at a rework station, learn to solder tiny-a$$ SMT parts, use the microscope, make measurements on real hardware, troublesoot, rinse and repeat until you stop saying dumb shiit like that. 😆

If you cannot service it with normal tools, reasonable procedures, and minimal waste then it doesn't work.

Start over.
