Frame looks great! Since my health went to crap, I doubt I could do one now so I am blessed I don't have to but I always wanted to do a body off restoration. Probably take me a month to just get my rear end pulled, pounded, and painted . . . but that's OK. At least it will be done right and then never again.

Today I was off so I decided to do the oh so popular Intrepid fan swap. From the get go the engine had always ran a little on the hot side. The car came with a flex blade fan wich didn't do very well. It ran at 220 with it on. So a week later I decided to swap my clutch fan on. It only helped a bit the clutch was weak and it kept it at around 200. So I pack my tools and went on an Intrepid for an intrepid fan...pun intended. I pulled it out of a1995 it was the only one there $28.

I've heard of people using 98-2000 I don't know what's the difference. I went along with this write-up. http://www.montecarloss.com/community/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=491948 Good info but I couldn't understand the wiring setup so I did it myself and bought an adjustable fan controller kit from Autozone $35. It took me a while to figure out how to configure the fans and wiring. It only took a few minutes to install. I wasn't going to hillbilly this in and start an eletrical fire. Besides a automaticly controlled fan is better. Only operates with IGN on and kicks in @ around 190. It is adjustable too.

But while I was setting the point when the fan kicks in(it was kicking in at around 200 at first) the TCC solenoid said meh. I thought the trans was overheating. But disconnected the wires going to the trans and it shifted fine. And if anybody has ever had a lock up solenoid go berzerk on them it causes the engine to lug and downshifts like it wants to stall. I never use OD unless I need to. So until I get the TCC solenoid replaced I'm stuck with a 3 speed. Funny because last night I drew up a diagram and parts list for Installing a Trans cooler with AN fittings and braided hoses. Guess I will be doing that. Even though I'm still running a stock engine and trans this setup is good for almost any engine I'd like granted I'll just buy a better radiator. So nothing is wasted.

Hey. been there done that on the lockup going bad. I originally just bought a good shift kit for my stock transmission and put it behind the big block. Apparently the local transmission shop were morons because it didn't survive the 1st drive [stuck TCC just being one problem] and then didn't stand behind their work because . . . "I have a race car!" Yeah right . . .

Even Bowtie forgot to put the front seal retainer clip in the first transmission I got from them. Lost the seal at 75mph and by the time I got the car stopped that transmission was toast. They just shipped me a new one though no questions asked with their apologies.

All I can say is thank god I didn't put on headers . . . just getting the flexplate cover on/off is a PITA with those in the way.

Yea that's one thing that worries me. If these trans aren't set up right then your going to be installing another. I remember when me and my father rebuilt the 4l60e in our Silverado we forgot to tighten the tcc down. It didn't kill the trans after a drive around the block either. Pulled the pan, plugged it in and it worked beautifully.

Thanks. I did it myself on a paint app on my phone lol. I have more random stuff like that. It's a quick one, I hope to eventually get a legitimate drawing pad for my free time. With 50hrs of work and kick-starting business and design school, there is very few free space for almost anything.

Well either way, it looks great and you should be proud of your skill set to produce such a thing.

If you'd be open to the idea, I'd consider contracting you to do one for The Juggernaut...
