I like your alloys. What an asset to have those are for this climate. Wish I had them and all the alum bumper supports and such. I was thinking of using the LED kit you have to make my side reflectors into turn singals. Logically it seems plausible to hardwire it into the switch. Just an idea I had, haven't moved on it.

Thanks. Yea the kit isnt state of the art but it does what I like it to do I added a little detail to the color switch and placed it where it wasnt too noticeable. I still have to wire an on/off switch and were good to go. The side reflector idea wouldnt be a bad one but I think I saw a kit at radio shack for 30 bucks all it was, was a roll of LED strip lights. But it was waterproof.

Dash lights are cool. The car is clean man

THANKS! I hope I can do alot more to it over the span of time that I own it. And still be a daily driver.

Eventualy when im all done with phase 1, tier 1, or chapter 1 whatever you wanna call it I want to do a brake upgrade front and rear. Collected some info and came up with a list of parts I will need.

Front brake upgrade will be based off a 2wd 2000 blazer with Belltech 2in drop spindles. Ive seen the work involved its a 1 day install easy. If you have all your parts laid out on front of you that is.
Front:
1. PRT5182-Bendix Brakes Global Brake Rotors
2. C599 & C598- Duralast reman calipers
3. PG-D154C- Raybestos PG Plus Brake Pads
4. 513200- AutoExtra Wheel Bearing and Hub Assemblies
5. Junk yard - hardware/brackets/ backing plates
6. 2102- Belltech Front Spindles 2" drop.
~ Most likely forgetting something but cant remember.

Now the rears would obviously be the biggest performance upgrade from Drums to Disks. Based off a 4th gen camaro these brakes will perform nicely.
Rear:
1. AX55050- AutoExtra Brake Rotors
2. 18B4697 & 18B4696 A1 Cardone Reman. Brake Calipers
3. PG-D750C- Raybestos PG Plus Brake Pads
4. Junk yard- backing plate/ brakets/ hardware

Conversion hardware:
1. PVK72- Right Stuff Detailing Brake Proportioning Valves
2. Inlet sizes are 1/2 in.-20 and 7/16 in.-24. Outlet sizes to front are 3/8 in.-24 and rear outlet is 9/16 in.-18.

For the most part we wont be getting into this yet but I think a list gives me a good idea of cost and parts needed. Feel free to give some advice on the brake upgrade.

Good lookin ride man!! Looks like you're making some good progress. Mine had the alloy option on the RPO sheet, but they were long gone by the time I got my hands on the car. Much more fun with the gear swap ain't it? I remember swapping the 2.73s for 4.11s in my old 77 cutlass bracket car, and it feeling like a totally different car. Keep up the good work!

Thanks. Yea luckily my car came from a guy who bought it from a old couple @ 60k and he drove it till he decided to sell it and thats where I swiped it from his hands. Lol. Every thing on the car was factory. When I bought it he gave me every thing that belonged to the car. It came with a extra GM turn signal and chrome pieces from factory and the clips along with and belt rear bumper. And most of these pieces came with gm wrapped plastic! One thing about cutlasses is that out of all the gbodies they are the easiest to find at low miles IMO older people just loved the Olds. Cutlass. I did drive it around the block and I was like whoa it certainly was different. Im changing the pinion depth now due to noise...I really want to get this thing street ready but weather wont let me and I wont rush it either.

Setting up a rear is definitely an experience most people won't take on. I did the one in the 77, and had never even seen a dial indicator before. Ended up working out with a lot of checking and rechecking. Still trying to decide on spending the money for an 8.5 or doing the old 8.8 swap. Already fragged the intermediate sprag in a th350, and don't really wanna get stuck with a busted rear. Hope the weather goes your way!

I need your guys assistance maybe tobyp can help me out here. I was scrolling around for a while thinking on a trunk cover. (Scince original is quite thin and bland). Stole these pics from his build thread  where can I get one for an Oldsmobile? They look real cool!

^Anyone? I am seriously considering this item lol.

Another upgrade I may be interested in is wheels while I do like the original alloy snowflakes... Im actually looking for a new but familiar type of look. A super stock looking wheel. Cragar Keystone Klassic. If I get $ moving my way its a definite purchase.

Ordered some more goodies for the Oldsmobile. A set of aftermarket carrier shims from youkon. The passenger seat bracket. And a cap and rotor. I bought the C&R because summit charges for shipping for $99 and under and I need one. So might as well if it was on clearance too. Dug around through my basement and found a practically brand new HEI ignition sitting around and Boom brand new HEI set up for less than $10.
