I’ve run into some financial difficulties lately and considering selling my custom Elco Utility Wagon. I figured I’d post this to see if any forum members might be interested before I even do up a for sale in the CORRECT place . And the EBay and Facebook route . My build thread is Elco 300 Utility Wagon . It’s about 97 percent complete.

It's worth more complete than incomplete. Unfinished customs are a tough sell, unless you find just the right buyer with the desire and means to finish your vision.

If I had the cash to purchase, I'd be on it. I watched your build of this machine and the quality and craftsmanship is impressive. Good luck and sorry to hear about the financial difficulties.

Where are you located?

Doug,
I hate to see you have to sell the car, especially after all the years of painstaking blood, sweat, and tears you put into it. I hope your situation gets better where you won't have to sell the car, and you get to enjoy the fruits of your labor. Good luck on your decision.

Thanx Jack

I’ve got well over $20,000 in it . If you checked my build thread you’d see where that was spent . Looking to get a solid HALF of that back

I've been hmming and hawing since you posted up your musings Doug.

You've put a LOT of time and really great work into the car. If you end up deciding you NEED to sell it, I'd have some interest in giving her a garaged southern home for 3 reasons:

1) the quality of the work put into her

2) I've always liked the idea of adding a wagon to the stable, but, getting in and out of a coupe with bigger doors is easier these days. You've built basically a 2dr wagon, best of both worlds.

3) I'd hate to see this car sold outside the community and lifted on 24 or 28" rims nonsense with advertising logos thrown on it. Which who knows what someone else would try to flip her to someone for. So, yeah, we'd probably have interest depending how everything worked out. EXCEPT HOPEFULLY YOU WON'T NEED TO SELL!

If it hits that point maybe we can talk about what's left for work (custom windows being cut and installed I'd expect, and some interior trim panels fabrication?)
