So what's your opinion on this hood? Does it have the quality of a factory hood or is it just China made junk like most of the other aftermarket crap out there?

All the stuff I created is not china made junk. Actually here is the facts.

AMD
Goodmark
LMC
Year one
Muscle car perf
parts place
classic industries

I can go on and on..... all make most if not all their metal items in Taiwan, not in china, and most are from the same factory. You will not find any gbody metal items for a cutlass or a regal not in a gbodypart or goodmark box, as there is an exclusive deal to keep the tools from being whored out with cheap sh*t competitive products.

My hood, guaranteed is the best you are going to see, period. 99% of all steel cowl hoods are made in Taiwan out of 3 different factories...both for trucks, as well as muscle cars and I have had a hand in designing all the late model truck stuff, as well as the gbody hoods too.

Look at my GN sometime. When I tell people after I win best paint, best of show, etc...I tell them every panel on that car is aftermarket made in TW and R&D by yours truly 😉

the parts are made offshore and call it want you want but it's Sino-Asia consisting of China, Taiwan, and Hong-Kong, they are al the same........and that is not Made In America

I would be glad there is one in the market now. At least if you want you can cut the screen out. before you paint it. Easier to take out, than add. 😉
I'm glad you made one. I'll add that it was very well boxed.
The truth is, this hood is almost ready to paint, right out of the box, at least the one I have is. It's a quality part!
This new website is so awesome for posting pics.

I am so sick of this bull sh*t that you keep slamming about off shore products. Sure make it in America...I'm all for it. I make stuff when feasible in America however I am also a realist and know what works and dont. It's a global economy anymore and not a single source economy. I have told you over and over.. TW is not China..it's a republic and the money stays in that country. They are not communist there. They do a damn good job on our product because NO ONE IN AMERICA was willing to take on the job PERIOD. This country is filled with a bunch of lazy ****s or people that don't want to work! Those that do work or run a business charge to much and as a result the price of goods is too high. You may pay 800 for a hood but many wont. you need to educate yourself before putting yourself out there as a ignorant mind set ******* every time something comes up about off shore products!!!

I buy products made in the US for my car which in turn helps out the industry. Companies like UMI makers all their parts in the US. YOU on the other hand are all about profits. If you don't like my opinion that too bad but I won't stop trying to support companies to manufacture parts on this side of the world and I go out of my way to criticize the companies who manufacture off shore.

you are one ignorant sole. Those that know me knew what I set out to do, and was highly skeptic about the size of what I was able to do. I did not earn one red cent in profit towards my back pocket, however I did earn a level of accomplishment. I own three of the Gbody cars, all hand built by the ground up by yours truly.. Oh, and I know the folks at UMI, Ramey, etc....I run a full line of products on my car. So, wake up.... go put your head in the sand somewhere else

Why dont you give me a list of 10 vendors products that you have installed on your car in the past few. I bet you wont, because you know where their products came from.

How about your car, wifes car?? Why dont you give me the YMM so I can tell you where all that product on those cars came from 😉

You sure are a great representative for your company, Toby.

Tell me more about what lazy ****s your customers all are...

I buy stuff from all over the world, it's unavoidable... But I'll pass on your products simply because of what a child you seem to act like over and over again.
You get so defensive it's hilarious.
This is the internet. Get some thicker skin...

And don't break your arm patting yourself on the back there, champ...

We ALL would like to buy US made products, but the reality is the Big 3 (GM, Ford, Chrysler) all do the same thing. That is a world economy we all live in now, source parts where ever you can to stay competitive in the market, and if this hood was made in the US it's price would most likely be well over $1000, personally I would not be able to buy one then. I have dealt with Toby in person on more than 1 occasion, I find him to be a stand up guy, he didn't BS me on anything, I paid a fair price for everything I have bought from him, and I'm very grateful for all that he has contributed to our hobby. I bought the prototype hood from him that no one liked the raised rib up the center of the cowl, I personally like mine over the current one, but hey we all have our personal taste in our cars, no one will ever satisfy everyone.
