I wonder how many people won't understand that comment?
I got it. Because it's spot on and I agree. Kind of like something to do with doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result.

It's kinda strange around South Carolina, so not sure this technology would pass muster. As it stands for now, our now ex-governor Nikki Haley, while in office here, basically made non-manned policing devices null and void of being able to be used for ticket generation. Drive-by auto-generated tickets were prohibited. They started doing the stop light camera ticket thing, and was trying to do the speed camera "click and tick" thing on I-95, but she got that stuff scratched out of existence. There was some ethical issues with the camera company to boot, apparently. Doesn't outlaw a cop on the side of the road with a radar detector, though.

Nope, there is actually a video of a Tesla that a guy programmed to fart thru the speakers when the turn signals were used. It was a joke he pulled on his dad IIRC.

6th ammendment.

In AZ we have Red Light Cameras with radar. Run a red light, get a ticket. 11 miles over the speed limit, get a ticket. Some say to throw it away and say you never got it, but with my luck I'll be "served" and it will cost even more. They bank on suckers like me to just pay the ticket and take traffic school (if you can) and move on instead of roll the dice.

We used to have a camera on the 101 freeway in Scottsdale several years ago to catch speeders. What a traffic nightmare that was. Those who knew it was there would slow down to 5 under the speed limit causing a heavy traffic jam. Those who didn't would swerve around those slowing down nearly causing accidents. It was finally removed.

But what about an automated laser measurement to ticket the Carolina Squat trucks? 😆

You don't actually want the technology. Local Gov'ts here use it as a revenue generation tool, it has proven to do absolutely nothing for safety or driver improvement. It started being set up in spots where speeds changed and was being selectively used by camera operators to not ticket friends and family. Just like everything else the govt will eventually abuse it.
