If it really is a reman engine, and 5 bolts on the bottom is what oldsmobiles have, it is probably a 307. Try and read the numbers on the engine block to the right of the oil fill tube (if it has one) and put them on here. If you have a phone with a flashlight that will help you see them and write them down. I'm betting it's a 307.

It's an Olds for sure. The decal does lead me to believe it is a 350, but that isn't proven yet

I hope it is a 350, because that'll give me a foundation. If it is a 307 it gotta go.

When you can see better in the daylight, try and find the casting number. It is on the engine block on the front next to the oil fill tube. Look at the base of the tube and look to the right. You should see some numbers. With that engine looking as old as it does, and having what seems to be ALL the factory components, it looks like a dealer installation from back in the 90s, or maybe even late 80s with a new Olds 307. If it's a 307, don't worry. A 350 olds, or a 403 swaps in there without a sweat.
