trans help!!!

hey guys i have a couple of problems with my trans (th350) i have reverse and first and that is it will not go in 2nd or 3rd .
can't put them manually they saty in first ??? what my prob?
and also my speedo ir readin wrong can anybody tell me what speedo gears to use th 350, 3.73:1 and 255/60/15

have you checked your fluid for level, color, and smell?
honestly, you probably need to bring the car to a trans shop and have it rebuilt.

oh i should have stated that the trans just got done a fresh rebuild and upgrades ! the fluid level is good

check the fluid level just in case.
other than that, bring it back to the rebuilder. something major is wrong internally

yeah thats the problem i when back to the rebuilder and i dont think it's gonna get me anywhere. i was hopeing it was something simple like a stuck governer or somthing ?

I had a similar problem. All it was is that the vacuum line from the transmission was kinked. Check that, if thats your problem it's an easy fix, just replace the rubber line.

i have a new moduler valve along with a new hose that goes to the trans. but maybe i dont have enuf vacuum going to it ?
i have a big cam maybe i shoud check that then . how much vacuum should i have there ??

What port is your vacuum sorce running from?
