Transmission crossmember mount repair

Thanks for the advice and input I’m fully prepared to have taken the body off if I had to.. the rest of the frame is fine it’s literally just that mount that rotted away on me ... I will post some more pics when I get the new piece welded in

Whatever gets you to sleep at night..... I usually keep my expectations low to avoid disappointment.

if your frame is in good shape then it is perfrct time to take the body off and treat the frame and body mount locations so it stays in good shape, plus the rubber body mount have long past their life expectancy and need to be changed
 
it Looks worse in the picture the rest of the frame is solid I’m from Canada and the car was driven in winter prior to me buying it and starting to fix it up all the lines are going to be replaced I’m just loooking for some advise
G bodies don't have very thick metal new, blasting or encapsulating rust, to late the damage is done.
