And boy are they FUGLY. I hate Motorcraft carbs if only for that reason.Other than the Thermoquad nothing else would make good power and pass emissions tests. The Ford Motorcraft carbs were junk and ran terrible.

The Edelbrock RPM for the SB Olds is a square and spreadbore pattern. That thin plate might be needed to seal. The BB Olds version is squarebore only. A mistake in a lot of Olds guys run Qjets and tests have proven it needs a larger plenum.You had a Q-Jet then you put on an Edelbrock. carb on.
