turn signal issues on my 86 Cutlass

Front and Rear are both bulb #194.... but just for the hell of it, instead of front to back, switch side to side and see if the problem changes to that side. If not, and based on your earlier description of the dash light and hazards occurring as part of the issue, I'd say it's either a problem at the terminal or the wiring itself. I may have a wiring diagram somewhere around here...

Ok cool I'm thinking it might be the turn signal switch what do you think?
 
I actually had my wrist over / resting on the turn signal on one of my El Camino's back in the day. After my turn and it went to click back to the neutral position, something inside snapped and I had some sort of lighting issue - so I just replaced it. Very well could be the switch.
