U-Joint girdles

Does anyone know if there are aftermarket U-joint straps or aluminum caps for a stock GN rear? Figure I might as well upgrade while I’m waiting on my driveshaft

I've never seen them marketed towards the 8.5 but depending on the cap size there might be a comparable size girdle to an existing application say 1310 1350 etc etc.they're worthy though.

The stress there is rotational, not linear. The straps only hold the needle bearing cups into the yoke. There’s really no linear force to make the straps fail. The stress is on the yoke itself.

I bought them when I first put the 9" in my Monte, but later switched to straps for easier installation.

I like them because I'm prone to over tighening small thing's and those eliminate that.
