Those wheels may stick in a bit, 235 60 15s cooper cobras are a good all around tire. Look really nice on 15x7s. 255s are the widest id go on a 7 inch rim. Im a fan of the 86/87 (85?) t type wheels. They are also 15x7, backspace I think is 3.5". Don't remember for certain.

I found some Rallye wheels at Carid.com. They are 15 x 8" with zero offset, but doesn't give backspace, but verify them to fit. They recommend 205/65R15 tires, but those tires are the same height as the 195/75R14 tires that were OEM. They only verify the 205's to be a guaranteed fit. I want a tire that is higher and wider than the 205's. They say the 15 x 8 wheels are a guaranteed fit. Not sure what would happen or what it would look like with the wheels sticking in with the 4" backspace.

That selector on their site probably is configured to have the tire size match the height of oem to prevent the speedometer from being off. Smaller tires will make it read a higher mph, bigger lower mph. Only bout bo more than 5mph or so. Nothing big. 205s are WAY too small for a 15x8 wheel, or a 15x7. Also, i don't know if these are 14s or 15s, but they both had the same offset and backspacing if I remember right. There was a 14" and 15" buick 5 spoke "rally" wheel. They would both stick in roughly this much: if you want more pics of the car, I found it on car domain years ago. Just type in "nola504boy regal" into google images and it'll pop up.

My 85' Regal project car has 15 x 8 rims with 4" of backspace and have 275/60 in the rear and 235/60 fronts and it has no fitment issues.

Sorry, still don't know how to do things on the forum. Still a rookie.
It happens. You'll get the hang of it.

Thinking about putting 15" x 7" Buick Rallye wheels with a 4" backspace on the old '85 Regal. Want to keep it looking as original as possible but want to fill up the wheel wells a little bit. Do you guys think this wheel will work on the car, and if so, what size tires would accommodate the wheels? I don't want it to look like a muscle car, just look a little more sporty. Thanks for any responses.

I have 15x7 Buick Rally wheels on my Regal, not sure what the backspacing is. Heres s picture from when I rolled it out of the garage a few months ago. The tires are just rollers. I will be running 235/75 Cooper Cobras.

Thanks for the pic! That's one awesome paint job! Getting mine painted now. Keeping it white. Hope it looks as good as yours.
