The ride height and tire height is perfect. Get too caught up in the super low or biggest possible tire and the car will have problems like rubbing or bottoming out. Just leave it.

If something is needed to change the look a bit. Get some trim. Cutlasses look great with the chrome trim.

Looking good, wouldnt change a thing... heres mine as a comparison.

I just lowered the cutlass with 1 1/2” bmr drop springs in rear with bell tech spindles and uncut 5660 springs up front along with the obligatory bilstein shocks all around
Also threw in a 442 steering box
Point is I don’t really love how it sits , but I can’t put my finger on it
Tires too small ? 255 45 17
Needs to be lower ?
Needs more rake ?
What do you guys think ? Like the title says be critical! roast me and my car lol I can take it
What would you do to make it better looking? View attachment 222630View attachment 222631
It's not a Buick. 😉

Reactions: Kamloops cutlass
it's a combination of things, some of which others above pointed out:
-wheelwell clearance
-45 sidewalls? makes it look smaller comparatively/subliminally
-what's the backspacing on your wheels? they're different than the other pictured cars
My backspacing is 4” rear and 4 3/4” front both 17x8
Wheels fit well the rear tires are about an inch and a quarter to fender lip
I am willing to roll fenders if necessary

I like my cars as level as possible while still running staggered rims with taller tires to fill the wheel well better.
My Monte has 15" rims with a 27.5" frontrunner and 295/55 MT drag radials.
My Regal has 17" rims with Nitto 235/50 fronts and 275/50 rears.
I think Cutlass owners have it the hardest because of the shape of the wheel wells which causes clearance issues especially when lowered.

I’ve been looking at trying that exact tire and size 275 50 17
Swap my rears for something with a little more meat

When we rolled the lips on some cars back in the 90s what we would do is remove the chrome trim, roll the lips. Then, to cover up any paint that got a little off in the rolling process, we would go get some balsa wood from the woodworking supply, with the trim held up back on the car, we put the balsa against the trim, and, then used some c-clamps with one end holding the balsa, which was holding the trim, against the car, and the other end of the clamp the backside of the now rolled fender lip. It allowed us to clamp the trim without putting dings in it since the balsa would both spread the clamp force AND it was soft enough it would dent instead of the trim.

That let us use a tack hammer to bend over the trim flange to match the backside of the now rolled fender. Once we finished that process (moving the clamps once about 6-8 inches away from starting point on the arch so all the trim could be tapped down, clamps otherwise are in the way). Then, you can reattach with the factory screws usually, and, with the trim on, it REALLY doesnt look like you rolled the lips until someone checks underneath.

If you haven't figured it out yet, we always liked sleepers.

How can I get it lower ?
I can’t cut the springs I don’t think
That's always an issue. Try other springs, or buy rear coilovers so it's adjustable. That's obviously the much more expensive option. I got very lucky and was able to hit my desired rear ride height on the first try. Which is why I haven't bought the matching RideTech coilovers for the rear.
