I've owened my Regal since 2008. After eight years of rebuilding it, no one ever hit the car.....until AFTER i got the damn thing painted. Go figure. At least the guy was decent and left me a note and reported it to the police. After dealing with his insurance company they gave me $10 OVER the repair estimate. So, while it's in being repaired i went ahead and ordered a steel cowl induction hood from Gbodyparts. Shouldnt be too long of a repair job. The GN hood is undamaged and is for sale if anyone is interested.

That sucks but accidents can happen and it's nice that it was an honest guy that hit your car and it sounds like your insurance company came through....

I know what you mean. I notice cool cars when I'm out. I can spot an 80's Monte Carlo just about anywhere. Lol

Don't feel too bad, at least the guy that hit your car was honest and is gonna have his insurance fix it. A couple off years ago someone backed into my car at work. The guy was driving a lifted Dodge Ram. He backed into my Geo Prizm and busted a tail light and cracked the spoiler. One of my coworkers said that if he hadn't saw it and said something that the guy acted like he was gonna drive off without even saying anything about it. Someone came and told me what had just happened. The guy admitted to backing into my car and said he would pay for the damage though he sounded pretty reluctant. We went inside to price a used tail light. (I work at a salvage yard.) While we were talking out how much the guy owed me he was complaining about how he couldn't see my car. I was parked in "my spot" where I had been parking for about a year without incidence. This ******* had the nerve to say something like, "I couldn't even see your car. Isn't there somewhere else you could park?" Seriously???? You come to my work and run over my car and then try to blame it on me and where I parked?????? I had been parking there for a year and nobody had run over my car yet and to this day nobody else has either!!! Are you kidding me?? That really pissed me off. Stupid people like that are why I don't really like interacting with people in general.
