weather was decent so I took her out for a little cruise last night, I found a 87 caddy with the 307 that still had the ECM so I grabbed it cause I need an 87 pcm to swap this Monty ss chip I have into, but it wasnt the right service number, Car ran but gave a check engine light so I just reinstalled the stock ECM. I didnt give anything for it so No loss. Ill just keep my eyes peeled for the right one. also scored a almost perfect set of seat from a 98 bonneville SE that had almost 275k on it..lol I was floored when I looked at the seats. They look like a 98 pound woman had been driving the car its entire life. just a shame they are not blue.

Looks like I need a 1228079 87 5.0 camaros, caprices and monte carlos none of witch are laying around the wrecking yards near me, plenty of old olds and caddys, not a single box caprice..lol this ECM is a 87 only deal as its slightly faster processing speed, but still have the old card style connectors, instead of the new male/female pins. the one I picked up for the 307 was a 1227301 and it looks like that is only for the 307 cars .

My Caprice has a working ECM, although its from 1988. If you don't find something more local, I may be able to mail it out.

87 was a b@$t@rd year for the Corvette too from what I recall. Also the only fuel injected year of the square body.

yeah , 87 was the last year of the card type connectors, 88 went to the male/female style pin connectors, those ECMs are all over, Matter of fact I even has a good 727 pcm, but I got nothing it fits..lol

Sort of...

For 1988-91 you could buy a suburban, full sized blazer/jimmy, or a HD version of the r/v series line in regular or crew cab.
