What carb should i use for my car

ya that intake may be okay if theres a cam in there but it's hard to tell. Ideally what you'd want to do is hook a vacuum gauge up and see what kind of vacuum you're making in idle... that along with just listening to it will give you an idea of the cam size, it's not going to be exact but it'd be a range. I mean if you don't have a huge thump at idle in drive the vic jr may not be doing much anyway.

Like ritter says ideally you'd want a nice dual plane for the street. Like a performer rpm or equivalent. It doesn't make a heck of a lot of difference but it'd make more low end torque, hit its peak power band a little sooner, better idle/vacuum and more street manners.

The Victor Jr. intake isn't really a daily driver intake. It is made for like a 7000 RPM engine. The useable RPM range starts at like 3000 with this intake. The carburetor will work fine with this intake, just saying you would get better fuel mileage with a more streetable intake.

Ok thanks any intake suggestions that is affordable.

SBC intakes are everywhere, check on ebay. If you do plan on switching, (which you don't necessarily have to but it's a good idea) then you can sell your vic jr. for a decent price. If you look on ebay or craigslist there's always some up there. It's possible to spend 0$ or make money off the swap in the end. If you just want a stock intake manifold or find a good deal on an edelbrock performer. Keep in mind you're moving to a different style of carb-

If you plan on going with a Quadrajet, I would try and find a spreadbore intake. That way you do not have to run an adapter plate/spacer. An Edelbrock Performer RPM would be my choice, if I were you

Ok thanks for the info I will just change the intake but what Quadrajet size cfm 600,650 or 750 should I get to give me the 2 things I want.

Do some searches under "quadrajet" "quadra jet" "q jet" "qjet" "Rochester" "quadrabog" etc

If you need more info let us know

Ok ill look it up and see what size Quadrajet would be good for me unless someone knows that answer.

Perhaps you can explain what kind of problems you were having before you go out and buy stuff.
The vic jr. intake is not a good match for a 350 with mild cam -- it won't breathe right -- might be the cause of your problems.
But yeah an Edelbrock performer and Q-jet, 600 - 650 cfm carb would do the trick. You have a streetable 350 with mild lift cam and high compression. It needs to breathe and that combo ^^ sounds perfect.

Well 454Musle its using up a lot of gas but my brother in law found out there isn't a fuel regulator so its dump fuel you can smell it through the exhaust fumes and see the gas needle go down very fast so the fuel pressure gauge is reading 12lbs of pressure so I ordered a regulator for it but the main thing is I have a holley 600 and a victor Jr intake and they told me to change the carb cause I won't get great mileage with it and the intake isn't suitable for my car cause I'm not running high rpm so they said get a dual plane intake with a Quadrajet so that's where I'm at.

That is the beauty to a quadrajet. They are, when set up properly, great in the fact that they will only provide what your engine can use. They come in two basic sizes,(700 & 850 IIRC) though either will work for you. If you are hunting, swap meet season is coming up on Long Island. A good basic core would be something with the code "1705XXXX" on it. If you are interested in continuing to use any CCC controls, the code is "1709XXXX". They can be had as inexpensively as $15.00 (or free!)
Cliff Ruggles wrote a great book about them if you want to learn how they work, and how to work on them. He maintains a bulletin board similar to this one which is pretty informative. He also sets them up or will sell you what you need to do it yourself. To answer you original question of "how big?" use this simple formula for carb sizing: VE X CID X max RPM / 3456 = cfm . For the "VE" variable, unmodified/stock cars use .85, hopped up cars with Heads,Cam, intake, free flowing exhaust etc use 1, and for forced inducton use 1.15. It isn't a perfect formula, but it will get you in the ballpark. 😀
