I loaded the shot gun with an ignition module this morning when the car wouldn't start. Cap/rotor/coil/plugs and wires new 15k ago.

0 degrees out and it started, ran for 2 seconds and shut off. I'm sure it will start first thing tonight when I get home.

My wife didnt give me too much grief. Just more so concerned at how much more this is all going to cost. Another $500 for tires and I havent even talked to my mechanic about the drop spindles and drop springs. IM STILL ALIVE!

I bought an NOS oil cap for the 87. I didn't need it, but it was pristine and only 8.98 including shipping. Plus a Delco Freedom battery decal for the top of my AGM. Gonna fake my way to a Delco battery, although the same company who made that one makes the Delco ones, so, it's not technically inaccurate maybe.

I was happy the person I bought it from had a 601 catalog number decal to go with it and he threw it in at no extra charge. This was usually only available with factory installed batteries. I almost made this stuff myself, but I got lazy.

He didn't have an "eye" decal, so I made my own. Came out pretty good I think. I enhanced it to make it more visible here, but it will actually be darker to match the battery top. I did make myself a non-HD battery version (730 catalog number) of the smaller 87 battery decal as well based on an original:

And I got my oil cap too! I'll be putting that on tomorrow (long, arduous job. Might need to pack a lunch 🙂 ). MAYBE do the decals for the battery top as well.

My momma used to tell me all the time "Boy, you pushing your luck. Watch it!" I decided to push my luck with my wife. I purchased a set of Falken tires. 225/50/17 for the front, and 245/45/17 for the rear. Lets see how this goes when they come in.

On a side note FEDEX is trolling me. They had two of my wheels and my drop springs. They left one wheel and said I needed to sign for the 4th wheel and springs. Pissing me off.

Great choice on wheel, I did the same. I think all the delivery companies get off on screwing with people on that stuff, just went through it with UPS.

Tires came in, tried to get the wheels installed. Completely forgot I would need new lug nuts. So with that said ill just wait. Maybe that was a sign. Ive been spending a lot on this wheel setup and it was about to cost me another $200.
