What did you buy for your G body today? [2022]

That's what I did. I replaced everything except the front springs. From the steering box out. I figured since it was apart. The steering column will be another project later.
When you do decide to do this, I highly suggest this bearing kit for the output side of the column. GM simply put a little rubber boot to cover the side that connects to the steering shaft and especially here in the AZ heat, that doesnt last long. I installed one when I rebuilt my tilt column last year and am happy with it.

Let me know if you need any help with that column. I've got all the tools to do it and I'm local to you here in Mesa.

Thank you.
I currently have a tilt column shift column but I'd like to put in a tilt floor shift column however, that will need to be a couple projects down the road from now.
I need to complete my engine swap (another week or so) then start my bucket seat conversion which is the next project.

Picked these up. Trying to make the exhaust less obnoxious now that I am driving it way more. Cant take the awful drone anymore of the 30 dollar Amazon Super 10 knockoffs.
They sounded pretty good on by buddy's big block C10.

Hit the Big Butler Parts A Rama today & picked up basicly back up parts. Best was 2 QJets for $10, one for a '78 Elky with a 350/auto & one for a '81 C10 with a 305/manual. Bith are complete but the '78 is missing the choke thermal spring. Guessing the wiring harnesses from a '83 Regal as a group deal for some smaller harnesses & wires needed. Was the dash, front & rear lights, front to rear harnesses. Don't really need them so I should see who could really use them before cutting them up. Even found the passenger side trim for a '81-'86 Monte with cornering lights that I'll hold onto just to have.

To be honest, this is the only way I ever see a Monte with them. I'd like to add them too but trying to find everything need to convert stops the idea. Either I missed that or some one bought cause I didn't see it.
You must of missed this one, the guy had a bunch of 80’s(ish) dealer posters and when I asked him if he had any Monte Carlo ones he said he didn’t because someone came through and bought like 3 of them.

My new Thornton stainless steel headers showed up today. Pre-ordered them a few weeks ago and got a 10% discount ($59). For my street driven small block Olds these will be fine. The flange to the head is a 1/2 thick plate, no more warped flanges. And no more blown out collector gaskets too.
