What did you do at work today?

10 hours of annual rules class and NORAC tests. But as an added bonus they finally gave me my framed engineer's certificate. 20210116_005828.jpg

Got up at 0500hrs and cranked out a thousand words for school, and (finally) got my bench back up to 2 plates.

Big considering all of the setbacks over the last year, and just coming back from a month off for vacation and a recent shoulder injury (old age mostly).

Goals.

Before the pic loaded I thought you meant 2 per side. I feel better about my old *ss self now.

Look closer, that is two per side on a proper Olympic bar. 😉

Making plastic mixing tanks for Siemens healthcare. They are for mixing cancer drugs and only used once then disposed.

So they are, that's a bit more respectable.

Considering the most I ever weighed was about 175lbs (and I ain't that heavy now) it is a pretty good power to weight ratio.

I would hate to have Rktpwrd thinking I am sitting around watching YouTurd videos and eating bonbons all day...

I had a short day at work.
First load out, I was getting near the rock quarry dump site that we use, and I could feel that the steering wheel wanted to pull to the right if I were to let go of it. When I used the brake pedal, it felt fine and straight ahead, but releasing the brakes wanting to pull right again. I quickly decided I had better pull over to check things out, if I were to continue another half mile I would have no place to pull over, and another half mile beyond that would have been no cellphone coverage. I am so glad that I did, because the right steer wheel brake pads were jammed between the caliper and rotor, and were on fire. It took four shots from the fire extinguisher to cool them enough to quit flaming back up again, and the disc rotor was glowing red. Our company mechanic came out and fixed things enough to continue to the dump site, after which I went straight back to our main yard/shop to get it repaired. Had to get an Uber (paid by company) back to my Caballero at our Seattle yard. All in all, I had about a six hour workday.
