What did you do at work today?

I've primarily been on this particular project for 1-1/2 years now. The north link of the light rail project in the Seattle metropolitan area. The majority of the major digging portion is complete, and structures are going up, and beginning some backfilling in places. It's actually looking like progress is taking place.
This is part of a bridge abutment that needs to be filled after they erect the other wall parallel to the edge of the freeway (Interstate 5). Today's goal was to get to the level of the pink paint marks.20210723_195452.jpg
Last week, the ground level here was about 8-10 feet lower. I worked this backfill for 2 days (Thursday-Friday last week), then on different pieces of this same project this week, while two of our drivers filled most of this.
I was on stand-by for a few minutes today while the roller compacted the fill before I backed in again. 20210723_195420.jpg

2016 F150 ecoboost. Customer complaint, total loss of brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Quick inspection of the brakes and undercarriage, no obvious leak areas. Pulled off the master cylinder and found a brake fluid lake in the brake booster.

I put in my 2 week notice today. I got an offer to go work as a tech rep for a paint distributor, and decided to take it. It was a tough decision, as I really enjoy my current job at a small restoration/custom shop. I’ve been auto body for about 20 years and I figured it’s worth taking a chance on something a little healthier.

no pics
But Backed up 5 Windows 7 pc and moved all Personal stuff to New Windows 10 Pro Machines via Onedrive . now just have to drive 115 miles to swap towers.

Field service action 20S31, recall on select F150's for that issue.

Leave it to me to finally have a job I enjoy, and I quit after a year. Actually an old sales guy called me and one of their distributors needs a tech rep. I’m really not ready to get out of the booth but, I will have to do it at some point. I figured now is as good a time as any. I still have my second and third painting jobs if I need that fix. Hopefully I’ll take to it better than I did being the shop foreman. I checked in parts for a few weeks and was ready to kill myself.
