I've had a few of those oopsie's. One night we were switching on the south-end and put an engine on the ground, Management told us to leave it and go finish switching on the north-end. On our 1st cut of cars, 2 long drawheads mismatched and derailed. We had both ends of the yard shut down for a few hours.Spent some time juggling tank cars around

I'm starting to get a bad rep as someone who no one gets along with but all I ask is they work and let me do my job! It's really not that much to as ask. I'm not a baby sitter. This guy was late 50s and asked me if I would feel his bodywork for him. Wtf? Then I gave him another car to do and he refused like it was beneath him. I don't think so TimMost helpers these days are just hinderers. The young ones are always on the phone. The older ones are just dumb, otherwise they would’ve moved on from being helpers. We have a helper that’s 57, and he sucks, but he can lay under a car for an entire day, then go back and do it again the next day. Any other job, completely useless.
