What did you do to your G-Body today? [2011-2018]

Drove it to my son's place in Mapleton, picked up my grandson and took him to his hockey try out and met up with my son there, then back to my son's place, got a couple of hours exercise cutting his grass, then a few beers and a swim in his pool. Tomorrow heading to my son's place in Toronto to catch some NFL with him .....🙂

Spent hours trying to figure out what a TH350 kickdown bracket for a 350 Buick intake looks like. Every aftermarket bracket I've seen or tried doesn't work in the least. Also still not sure if I need the slotted cable or the teardrop shaped cable. I've seen both with a TH350 and I'm very confused. Running a '78 Buick Quadrajet. If anyone knows, please tell me lol.

This is my carb setup right now. The cable is almost too long for it to function properly, but I don't know how it would be like that. There should only be one length right? Carb to transmission. You can see my cobbled together bracket.

And after I hooked it up it does this. I know the little metal D shaped tab is supposed to snap down or something but all mine does is push down and spring back up. It's like it doesn't lock in. I think I might need a new cable...again.

The orange engine is the one blake442 was messing with and I should have a bracket like this one. But I can't find one anywhere and don't have the resources to make one. Plus he has a TH350 and has a TV cable and not a kickdown cable being as it is a teardrop shape with the nub instead of slotted.

The bracket you have is set up for a TV cable. That is part of the issue. The other issue by looking at video, is that it is not in line so the cable is binding. The TH350 should be a kickdown not a TV.

What year carb would have a kickdown cable nub? Or would I have to get one of those kits that has the nub you put on yourself?
