Went and pulled a 2004R out of a friends 88 cutlass. While not an SS or 442. Only charged me $100.00, thought that was a good deal.

renewed my registration. got specialty plates. if i dont renew before the end of the month i loose them. (did that last year)

don't know if you did this but check with your insurance company, some give you a discount for personalized plates cause they make the car easier to spot if stolen.

thanks for the info.i will have to find out.i might already get it.i had the plates when it got insured.

Made another tray for my tool cart, this time I used a piece of wood instead of aluminum.




After that I cleaned off my workbench.........finally

Ordered a new timing cover for the 5.3. Comes with -10 oil drains already welded in. I have a cover, but can't tig, and people around here charge alot to do it. Saving me $$ buying this one.

Yesterday my family and I took the Monte to my shop and used the car lift. Changed my speedometer gears and tail shaft seal. My two year old daughter was having fun until she got hungry then it was game over. Had to button the car back up and head for home. The speedometer was reading 72 at 55. Now it seems pretty close. Took a picture of the underneath of my car wile it was on the lift. I can't believe how nice it is being a unrestored Iowa car.
