Started dying my maroon interior flat black. Looks pretty good so far! Also took a trip to the wrecking yard and picked up some interior bits that my Cutlass needs; woodgrain vent pieces to replace my cracked ones, a dome light, and front headliner trim.

Also ordered a set of VHX gauges. Ouch.

That wheel looks fantastic, great job.

Thank you, appreciate the kind words!

The rims are beautiful.

Are they 14x7?

Thanks man, glad you like 'em!

No, they're not even that wide unfortunately, they're only 14x6's.
Probably why they're not typically a more desirable wheel. :(

I guess you are doing a stock rebuild on the car then?

Ohhhh, not exactly....
Lol

I've always loved the idea of a sleeper. I haven't covered it in my build thread just yet, but I've already swapped in an early 4 bolt main Chev 350, upped the compression, Comp hyd. cam, topped it off with a set of new Vortec cylinder heads, aluminum intake manifold and water pump....

The transmission is now a built OZ code 200r4 from an '85 442 with a TransGo stage II shift kit and TCI lockup kit...

And the same 442 donated its 8.5" 10 bolt with 3:73's.

The obvious exhaust note gives it away unfortunately, but I tried to make it look like the stock 305 that originally came in the car, right down to running valve cover adapters to run the old, early style valve covers.
:)

I agree, but I wanted to use a factory style wheel that suited the overall theme. That really limits the options right there.

Now, if I could figure out a way to stretch them into 15's, and custom widen them to 8 or 10" and run drag radials, I'd be all over that!

It's a shame Hurst doesn't make these anymore.
